Lehia Franklin Acox

Since her days as a high school and college news reporter—when she honed her knack for spreading the word about her favorite social cause, dance party or new product—Lehia Franklin Acox has loved sharing information about interesting people, places and ideas. She has more than 20 years of experience in delivering creative, effective communications and marketing strategies for a variety of corporate, small business and non-profit entities.

Her specialties include strategic communication plan design and implementation, developing digital and print communications materials, managing grassroots marketing and community outreach campaigns and garnering social and traditional media placements.

Lehia launched her business, LFA PR, in 2007 to provide communications guidance to non-profit organizations and small businesses. 

Previously, she worked in communications roles with corporate and non-profit organizations, including The Chicago Community Trust, HSBC North America, Valerie Denney Communications, The Night Ministry, Josephinum High School and WNDU TV.

Lehia earned a master’s of science in integrated marketing communications with honors from Roosevelt University and a bachelor’s of arts in history from the University of Notre Dame. She has served on the board of the Black Alumni of Notre Dame, and Chicago-based Woodstock Institute. Lehia divides her time between her new home in San Francisco and her hometown of Chicago.
